Program Staff

Under the direction of Director of Bands John Owen Davis II, the Newsome Band Program employs a variety of talented musicians, artists, and designers to direct, instruct, and mentor our students to consistently reach higher achievements — all in the Pursuit of Perfection.

Our staff is committed to providing the first-class experience that the students and families of Newsome High School have come to expect, and they work tirelessly to maintain the award-winning reputation the Newsome Band Program has developed over the years. Each member is extremely talented in various areas of the music, marching, and pageantry arts, allowing students of all skill levels to find their place and thrive.
